Larissa Cruises Welcomes Its First Guests on Bai Tu Long Bay – 15 October 2026
Larissa Cruises officially welcomed guests on 15 October 2026, marking the start of its first voyages through Bai Tu Long Bay. The newest cruise on this route is a member of Renea Cruises, bringing a fresh way to enjoy the bay’s limestone scenery from an overnight ship.

First moments aboard Larissa Cruises
The first guest photos show the ship out on the water, a bright restaurant with wide bay views and a dinner gathering on the open deck. They offer a first look at the atmosphere aboard the newly launched cruise: time to take in the landscape, share a meal and settle into a night on the bay.

Out into Bai Tu Long Bay
For guests who want to get closer to the karst islands, kayaking adds another perspective on Bai Tu Long Bay. Photos from the opening voyage capture visitors paddling through the calm water beneath the cliffs.

Discovering Bai Tu Long Bay with Larissa
From Ha Long International Cruise Port, Larissa sails into a landscape of limestone islands, caves and natural beaches. The voyage gives guests time to experience the bay beyond the view from the deck: kayaking near Cap La, exploring Thien Canh Son Cave, and enjoying both sunrise and evening activities on board.
What will guests explore?
2 days, 1 night
On the first day, the ship travels through the Cong Do area towards Cap La Island. After lunch with views of the bay, guests can kayak, swim and relax on a natural beach. Those who prefer not to kayak may take a tender around the area. Back aboard, the programme includes a sunset gathering, music, a cooking demonstration and dinner, followed by free time or squid fishing. The next morning brings a choice of Tai Chi or sunrise views on the sundeck before a visit to Thien Canh Son Cave and the return to port.
3 days, 2 nights
The first day follows the same route through Cong Do and Cap La. On day two, guests transfer to a day boat and visit Vung Vieng fishing village by bamboo boat among the limestone islands. The route then continues via the Cong Dam area to Thay Cave. According to the itinerary, guests walk through the cave to a beach, where swimming is possible when conditions allow. After lunch, they return to Larissa to unwind or kayak again. A visit to Thien Canh Son Cave completes the final morning before the ship returns to Ha Long.
The programme may change with weather, tides and operating conditions. See the daily timings, inclusions and latest details on the Larissa Cruises product page.
