Halal Food on Ha Long Bay Cruises: 5 Ships to Consider
A night on Ha Long Bay or Lan Ha Bay is easier to enjoy when your meals have been arranged in advance. If you require Halal food, check the dining plan before booking: once the cruise sails, you cannot simply step out to another restaurant.
These five cruises offer Halal menus or have published information about Halal service. Menus can change by departure, and a sample menu is not the same as a current certification. Tell the cruise about your requirements when you book.
Mon Cheri Cruises: a Lan Ha Bay getaway
Mon Cheri Cruise combines private-balcony cabins with kayaking, a visit to the Dark and Bright Cave area and time to watch the sunset on Lan Ha Bay. The operator has described a separate Halal kitchen for guests with dietary requirements.
The shared Mon Cheri and Peony Halal menu supplied for this guide includes seafood, chicken, vegetables and dessert choices. Ask for the menu that will apply to your sailing and confirm the number of Halal meals before paying your deposit.

Peony Cruises: another Lan Ha Bay option
Peony appears alongside Mon Cheri in the Halal menu supplied by their cruise group. Its Lan Ha Bay journey suits guests who want to mix kayaking and time on deck with an overnight stay. You can read more about Peony in Vivu Halong’s guide to Ha Long Bay cruises with swimming pools.
Because the menu is shared across the group, confirm which dishes Peony will serve on your specific date and how they will be prepared.

The Celina of the Sea menus supplied for this guide show separate day-one and day-two sets. Day one features seafood soup, grilled salmon salad, steamed squid and sea bass. Day two includes vegetable soup, pomelo and shrimp salad, salmon and dessert. The menu itself says that dishes may be adjusted to actual conditions.
If you avoid a particular ingredient or need separate utensils and preparation space, send those requirements to the cruise before departure.

Indochine Premium Cruise offers spacious cabins and broad open decks for a Ha Long Bay stay. Its supplied Halal menu covers a lunch buffet and a set dinner, with examples including sweet-and-sour clam soup, green papaya salad, lemongrass prawns and steamed fish.
The menu shows that a Halal dining option has been planned. If a valid Halal certificate is essential for you, request the current certificate and confirm its scope before booking.

Catherine Cruise: luxury on Ha Long Bay
Catherine Cruise is known for its Indochine-inspired design, private-balcony suites and visits to Luon Cave, Ti Top Island and Sung Sot Cave. The operator has announced that Halal Vietnam awarded the cruise Halal certification on 18 February 2025.
Check the latest certificate before booking. The copy supplied for this article expired on 17 February 2026. It establishes that Catherine was certified at that time; it does not establish the certificate’s current validity. Ask the cruise for its renewed certificate and the menu available on your travel date.
What to check before booking a Halal cruise
- Request the Halal menu for every meal in your itinerary.
- If certification is required, ask for the current document, the certified cruise or company name, service scope and expiry date.
- Confirm ingredients, utensils and preparation arrangements that matter to you.
- Give the cruise your guest count, allergies and foods to avoid in advance.
Share your travel date and dietary requirements with Vivu Halong. Our team can help check the current menu and certification information with the cruise before you choose your trip.
